Product Review: Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water Fit Sun Serum

If you’ve existed around the K-Beauty world for as long as I have, you would understand how easily and quickly something you love can be snatched away from you without warning or without notice (looking at you old formula Missha Sun Gel!). The amount of times I've had to go through the grieving process of losing what I once had and the painstaking search to try and fill that void has always been arduous and quite frankly, frustrating. Is this the texture? Is this the finish? Is this ACTUALLY SPF 50? Could it be? Have I found the one, once again? The newly curated Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF 50+ PA++++ looks like it could be!

Personal Criteria [What I’m Looking For]

I currently have combination dehydrated skin that’s very prone to dermatitis and I also tend to get dry patches as well as texture. The kind of sunscreen that I look for has to be thin in texture, easily layerable and absolutely cannot pill or have a white cast. I love a good satin finish that’s consistent and doesn’t leave me looking like a disco ball by the end of the day.  Additional bonus if it’s able to function as a makeup primer too. And guess what? The Skin 1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Sunscreen checks off everything on my wish list. Perfect texture? Check. Perfect finish? Check. 

What It Is [Composition]

This sunscreen is a chemical sunscreen that uses filters such as Uvinul A Plus, Uvinul T 150 and Tinosorb M to create a very watery, thin, and spreadable texture that feels incredibly sheer and airy. It’s also reef safe! With ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and centella in the mix, this formula makes it suitable for anybody that has sensitive skin who are looking for some soothing and calming effects. Added bonus for any frequent fliers out there as it comes in a travel friendly 50 mL (1.69 oz) size and as well as one of my personal favorite features, a pump! For $19.99, what else could I possibly want?
