Product Review: PURITO Breeze Water Gel Cream
You may be familiar with PURITO’s Deep Sea Pure Water Cream or their Oat-in Calming Gel Cream. Be ready for their newest watery-gel cream. The Breeze Water Gel Cream has made its way into oo35mm’s doors! It is a lightweight moisturizer for oily or sun-damaged skin during the summertime. But how does this new contender compare to other gel-type moisturizers? Let’s see!
What Makes It So Good? [Ingredients]
This lightweight gel cream’s main ingredients are Eucoolan (K) and Glyceryl Glucoside--both deliver cooling, hydrating, and healing effects to benefit heated skin caused by harmful factors like UV rays. It’s also enriched with soothing ingredients such as aloe, allantoin, and chamomile, all of which relieve rosy sensitive skin.
This cream is PEG-free [Polyethylene glycol], paraben-free, silicone-free, ethanol-free, fragrance-free, cruelty-free, vegan, and uses sustainable packaging! It's a product that is especially beneficial for those who have dry, sensitive, and combination skins.
How Does It Feel? [Texture]

The tube comes in 80ml [2.70 fl. Oz]. It is comparable to the Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel and the Illiyoon Ceramide ato Concentrate Soothing Gel. As the photo shows, the Benton Gel is more transparent than the PURITO Gel while the Illiyoon Gel has more of a white cloudy look. However, they all have a similar finish–slightly dewy but dries matte with no stickiness.
Once you apply this water gel cream, you’d instantly feel that cold, soothing sensation, so it’s great for sunny, hot days or whenever your skin might feel irritated. The calming effect is immediate for any sensitivity or irritation! It glides across your skin with ease, so it's perfect for those looking to replenish their skin with hydration without any greasy or dewy finish.
Scent?
After taking a quick survey from the oo35mm team, many of our team members have found the gel to have a noticeable scent. Some described the scent to have the smell of nature, others described it as Play-Doh or even nothing. However, after the product settles on the skin, the scent dissipates.
I didn’t find it bothersome because I normally don’t mind the smell of a product as long as it doesn’t linger or irritate my skin. The pleasant smell reminds me of being in a bookstore.
Personal Take [oily, dehydrated, acne-prone]
After using the product for a few days, I found it to be an excellent moisturizer for my oily and acne-prone skin. I usually avoid gel-type moisturizers because they wouldn’t quench my dehydrated skin, but this product made me change my mind.
I compared the Breeze Water Gel Cream to the Illiyoon Ceramide ato Lotion (my usual moisturizer) by putting each product on the two halves of my face as the last step of my night routine. The Illiyoon lotion (which contains shea butter and ceramides) takes a little longer to seep into the skin whereas the gel cream instantly absorbs, giving me a refreshing, cooling feel. While the immediate finish of both moisturizers had a dewy look, I noticed that the water gel had finished matte while the lotion side of my face retained the dewiness after five minutes of wait time.
Takeaways
- Cruelty-free, sustainable packaging, & vegan
- All skin types as a summer/spring lightweight moisturizer
- Those looking for a cooling relief sensation on their skin
- Does have a scent that some may find off-putting but not long-lasting
